WHICH ROUTES CAN I BOOK?

Currently you can book journeys (single and/or return) from Lucerne or Chur to Zürich Airport and to EuroAirport Basel. Further routes are planned for the future.

The route Lucerne – Zürich Airport also incorporates the following destinations and stops (on request):

Beckenried – Buochs – Ennetbürgen – Stans – Horw – Kriens – Luzern – Emmenbrücke – Buchrain – Gisikon-Root – Affoltern a.A. – Zürich Flughafen.

The route Lucerne – EuroAirport Basel also incorporates the following destinations:

WHERE CAN I BOOK FLUGBUS?

Tickets for the airport bus can be booked and paid for online on the website www.flugbus.ch. Our sales office and various travel agencies also offer the purchase of tickets. Alternatively you can contact our customer services to book tickets. Please note that ticket reservation in advance is obligatory. The stops will only be made as required on the basis of reservations.

You can buy tickets at the following points of sale of the transport companies:

  • VBL sales outlet at Lucerne Railway station
  • VBL sales outlet at Schwanenplatz
  • Regional bus information centre at Chur railway Station.
  • Oberland Reisen, Autoverkehr, Grindelwald AG

HOW CAN I PAY?

You can pay online by credit card (Visa / Mastercard), PostFinance / PostCard or by pre-payment.  For bookings on the Chur – Zűrich airport route and Zűrich airport – Grindelwald payment by TWINT is also possible.

Cash payment (CHF / Euro) is also possible at our sales outlets and travel agencies. Payment can also be made by telephone with credit card details or by invoice.

CAN I USE FLUGBUS WITHOUT RESERVATION?

No.  Booking of the airport bus is obligatory for all routes.  Stops will only be made as required and on the basis of reservations.

Flugbus Domat/Ems - Chur - Landquart - Zürich Flughafen

WHAT TYPE OF VEHICLES DO YOU USE?

On the route Domat/Ems – Chur – Landquart – Zürich Airport (and return) we use a people carrier with seven seats and a trailer.  The vehicle is clearly marked with the ‘Flugbus’ logo.

CAN I BOOK FOR SOMEONE ELSE?

Yes, you can book Flugbus for any number of adults and children.  It is important that the people whose details are given in the booking form travel with you.

CAN I RESERVE A SEAT?

No in the airport bus you cannot reserve seats.  However every passenger is guaranteed to have a seat.

CAN FLUGBUS.CH CANCEL A JOURNEY?

Yes, Flugbus.ch reserves the right to cancel a journey for important reasons (e.g. force majeure, safety reasons, vehicle breakdown etc.). On the route Lucerne – Zürich Airport and Lucerne – EuroAirport Basel, Flugbus.ch also reserves the right to cancel a journey with fewer than three booked passengers.

Flugbus.ch reserves the right to cancel bookings made on the Grindelwald – Zűrich airport route if there is not a minimum number of 5 passengers.

If a journey has to be cancelled by Flugbus.ch, clients will be informed in good time, and the price paid will be fully refunded.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY RESERVED JOURNEY IF I NEED TO DO SO AT VERY SHORT NOTICE?

Do you have to cancel your trip at very short notice, or are you late and will miss the scheduled departure of the airport bus?  Then we ask you to contact us as below:

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel your journey with Flugbus.  Flugbus charges a handling fee of CHF 20 per person for cancellations made by the customer.  However, for bookings made 7 days or less by the customer, 100% cancellation fee will be charged.

If the FDFA and / or FOPH explicitly advises against travel to a region you have booked, neither a handling fee nor cancellation costs will be charged.

If you have to cancel your flight at very short notice (i.e. a few hours before departure), please contact us directly via our on-call telephone.

WHICH DISCOUNTS ARE VALID ON FLUGBUS?

On Flugbus, children 15 years old and below travel at half the standard fare..

Flugbus does not accept public transport cards such as GA or half tax, or any other discount tickets. Normal public transport tickets are not valid either.

HOW DO I REDEEM A VOUCHER OR PROMO-CODE?

If you have received a voucher or promo-code, it contains a number (or promo-code).  If you enter this number online under point 2 ‘personal details’, you will receive the journey at the discounted Price.

I HAVE LOST MY BOOKING CONFIRMATION – WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Your booking confirmation will be sent to you by email when booking has been successfully completed.  If you no longer have the email, we will be happy to send it to you again.  In this case, please contact our customer services directly.

I HAVE LIMITED MOBILITY – CAN I STILL TRAVEL WITH YOU?

If you have limited mobility we will be happy to assist you with your journey.  Please notify us of your disability on the booking form.  We will then contact you to discuss your requirements.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO CONSIDER WHEN TRAVELLING WITH CHILDREN? CAN THEY TRAVEL ALONE ON FLUGBUS?

Depending on the vehicle, a child may need a child seat. We therefore ask you to state the age of your children when booking the airport bus, so that we can organise a child seat if necessary.  The child seat is included in the fare.

Children are only allowed to travel on the airport bus with their parents’ consent, and alone, only from the age of 14.  Please contact our customer services for more Details.

HOW MUCH LUGGAGE CAN I TAKE ON FLUGBUS?

The fare includes the transport of one piece of luggage weighing a maximum of 32kg, and one piece of hand luggage.  We also transport buggies, wheelchairs and walking aids free of charge, by prior arrangement.

If you are bringing any other luggage, for example skis / snowboards, surfboards, bicycles, golf bags, extra suitcases, musical instruments, diving equipment etc., then please state this on the booking form.  Extra luggage will be transported, by prior arrangement, for a supplement of CHF 20 per item.  We will carry 1 pair of skis / 1 snowboard and 1 ski boot bag per person on the line Grindelwald – Zűrich airport free of charge during the winter season timetable.

CAN I TAKE MY BICYCLE WITH ME?

Yes, for a supplement of CHF 20 you can take your bike with you in a special transport bag.  Please contact our customer services at least 72 hours before the start of your journey.  Unfortunately, it is not possible to transport bicycles which are not packed.

CAN I TRANSPORT ANIMALS ON FLUGBUS?

The transport of animals is with reservation and with the explicit prior consent of Flugbus.ch.  We would ask you to inform us in good time when making your booking, or via our customer services. Flugbus.ch does not transport animals without prior notification and approval.

CAN I ADD EXTRA, OR SPECIAL LUGGAGE TO MY BOOKING AT A LATER DATE?

This is possible, but not online.  We would ask you to contact our customer services at least 72 hours before your journey.

CAN I CHANGE, REBOOK OR CANCEL MY BOOKING MYSELF?

No, unfortunately this is not possible.  If you wish to make a change to your booking, a rebooking (e.g. for another person), or to cancel your booking, please contact our customer Services.

FLUGBUS IS LATE – WHAT SHOULD I DO?

The timetable of Flugbus.ch includes time buffers so that we can transport you to the airport and back on time.  If a trip with Flugbus cannot be carried out as planned and you miss your flight, we regret this deeply and we are sorry if your travel plans are adversely affected.  Please note, however, that we do not grant refunds for bookings made using alternative methods of transport that are not offered through us.

DO I NEED A TICKET FOR FLUGBUS?

Yes, you need a valid ticket for Flugbus.  You can book the ticket online, and you will immediately receive the ticket, or confirmation, by email.  The confirmation is valid as a ticket.

Public transport tickets and season tickets are not valid on Flugbus.

CAN I BOARD AN EARLIER BUS, OR ALIGHT LATER THAN BOOKED?

Flugbus will travel to the locations in accordance with the scheduled timetable. The start or end point of your journey with Flugbus is always an airport.  Your booked journey at the specific time is legally binding, therefore you must board and alight from the vehicle at the confirmed Points.
